first of all, to be honest i have totally no idea on how a solar panel works.
my task is to design something like a solar powered street lamp which store sun energy during day time and convert it into electrical energy then light energy so that the lamp can work during night time.
any ideas on how to design the solar panel? which can store enough or more enegry in case there is no sunlight another day. and low cost as well

my pond pump’s power cord looks like regular house appliance power plus. But the solar panels i’m looking at have red and black cords with alligator clips on the end? what I need to do or what additional thing do i need to buy to get this working?

I have in mind a small solar panel that could be plugged into a wall socket. Do I need a converter or some kind of interference between the two power sources so there aren’t any unpleasant explosions? I don’t know much about this sort of thing so please be nice.
I’m hoping to do a science fair project on solar panels. Since energy has been a big issue lately, I was hoping to research on this topic! What are some things that I can possibly do or experiment on?
Thank you!
P.S. Any science fair related tips are also greatly appreciated!!!
